Riverwalk Hotel formerly River Inn

(Formerly BlakHawk Hotel)

     On this site the first Dells steamboat tours began in 1873. Captain Wood of Quincy made the first successful Dells trip with his 50 foot side wheel steamer the MODOCAWANDA.

     Drinker's landing was the only steamboat dock for many years. This hotel was built and named THE BLACKHAWK HOTEL in 1924 and renamed THE RIVER INN in 1956.
